Meet Mags

Tai Chi and Qigong practitioner for over 10 years

Jogging used to be my thing, but after having an operation and needing to find something gentler for a while, I happened upon a group in my local park doing some movements in a very floaty way.  There was a lot of talk about grounding, alignment and breathing.

After my first session with the group, I felt wonderfully calm, but also amazingly energised.  I felt as though I had never before breathed so deeply and so completely.

I felt oxygenated.

I continued to attend the class every week.  My movements, which were initially very awkward and angular, in time became a little more circular and fluid.  I learnt to relax and soften into the practice.

For me, the practice was so simple, yet so beneficial to my whole being.

I’m not really on a mission, but I now sing the praises of tai chi and qigong to everyone.   Teaching is a great way for me to share and keep up my practice of this beautiful art.  I currently teach six sessions each week.

Many words can be used to describe tai chi and qigong, but you really have to try it to feel and experience the benefits of this amazing practice.

I would encourage everyone to give it a go … maybe I am on a mission.
